MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The crew of the Soyuz TMA-16M spacecraft opened the air lock approximately two hours after docking with the International Space Station and moved into the ISS, Mission Control told TASS.
The Soyuz spacecraft has brought to the ISS Roscosmos’s Gennady Padalka and Mikhail Korniyenko, and NASA’s Scott Kelly. Korniyenko and Kelly are to spend in orbit about one year, while Padalka is going to beat the previous duration record set by Sergey Krikalyov.
On board the ISS they were welcomed by Terry Virts, Anton Shkaplerov and Samantha Christoforetti.
