“The plane arrived from Leipzig and landed at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport at 00:07 a.m. Moscow time. Onboard are Elena Obraztsova’s family members who were accompanied by rescuers, psychologists and medics,” the spokesman said.
Elena Obraztsova died on Monday in Berlin from a serious illness. Visitation will be on Wednesday at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre.
Obraztsova, a mezzo-sporano, was widely recognized as one of the world's greatest opera singers.
