Duma ratifies agreement on simplification of visa issuance procedures with Liechtenstein

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Russia’s State Duma lower parliament house on Friday ratified an intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Liechtenstein on the simplification of the visa issuance procedures.

The agreement was signed on November 12, 2013 in Vaduz. The document establishes a simplified procedure for issuing single entry visas for a term of up to three months for citizens of Russia and Liechtenstein. This procedure is applicable to members of official delegations, businessmen, drivers and train staff members engaged in international passenger and freight service, journalists, men of science, culture and education, schoolchildren, students and post-graduate students, participants in international sports events, exchange programs, family members of those who are legally staying in the territories of the two states.

The agreement also regulates procedures for issuing multiple visas for a term of up to five years, terms for considering visa applications and visa fees.
