PARIS, November 22. /TASS/. A man presumably from Russia was found dead in Savoie, France’s Western Alps, the gendarmerie of this French department reported.
The man was found dead in the area of Mount Jouvet situated near Tarentaise Valley.
The demised man was about 50 years old. He has recently lived at his friends near town Bozel in a 20-minute ride from popular ski resort Courchevel. The man went travelling in the mountains and did not come back on November 21.
Local highland gendarmerie had been searching for the man by helicopter. The man’s body was found at 3am local time (2am GMT) on Saturday at a rock not far from a tourist path.
The Albertville city prosecutor’s office began investigation of the man’s death.
