PARIS, November 19. /TASS/. Actor Gerard Depardieu won a lawsuit against the French VSD weekly magazine, legal sources reported Wednesday. Depardieu filed the lawsuit against the magazine for publishing photos of him accompanied by a young woman at an Italian beach.
The Paris Court ruled publication of such photographs taken without the actor’s permission violates his right for privacy.
The magazine was fined €8,000 by the court in favor of Depardieu and will also pay €10,000 to the woman who accompanied him.
Apart from that, according to the decision of the court, the magazine will pay a compensation of €2,000 to each of them to cover the legal fees.
