Media: Russian tourist dies in Kenya after armed assault

MOSCOW, July 6 /ITAR-TASS/. A Russian female tourist has died in the hospital of Kenya’s port city of Mombasa after an armed assault, the news agency France Presse reported on Sunday, citing local police.

The tourist was touring the 16th century Portuguese-built Fort Jesus with two other people when three unidentified gunmen opened fire and grabbed a bag containing cameras, phones and other personal belongings, the agency said, referring to a police report.

The Russian consulate in Kenya has not yet confirmed this information.
