WASHINGTON, July 03. /ITAR-TASS/. A magnitude 5.9 earthquake was registered near the Komandorskie Islands off Russia’s Kamchatka, the US Geological Survey said on Thursday, July 3.
The earthquake centered 591 km northeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky under the seabed at a depth of 10 km. No damage, casualties or tsunami threat have been reported so far.
