MOSCOW, June 28 /ITAR-TASS/. The Japanese film “My Man” by Kazuyoshi Kumakiri has won the 36th Moscow International Film Festival’s main prize.

The Golden George was awarded by Russian film director Gleb Panfilov, chair of the festival jury.

In “May Man’ Jungo becomes a father figure to a 10-year-old distant relative named Hana after she’s orphaned by an earthquake and Tsunami which decimated Okushiri Island, Hokkaido. Over the next 15 years, hey grow to love each other like father and daughter in spite of Hana’s traumatic past and each helps fill a void in the other’s life. However, at a certain point their relationship turns physical, leading to various conflicts with the people around them. Soon after, a murder quietly occurs atop the ice floes. With their dark secret, Jungo and Hana escape to Tokyo.
