BELGRADE, June 27. /ITAR-TASS/. The Netherlands have denied Ukrainian media reports that the Dutch Foreign Ministry has allegedly confirmed that all the exhibits of the “Crimea: Golden Island in the Black Sea” exhibition known as “Scythian Gold” was the state property of Ukraine.

Ahmed Dadu, the Dutch Foreign Ministry spokesperson, told ITAR-TASS on Friday that the matter was not in the Ministry’s competence.

It is a private affair between the museums. The Dutch Foreign Ministry could not give any guarantees to the Ukrainian side that the Scythian gold which is currently on view at the Allard Pearson Museum in Amsterdam would return to Ukraine.

On Thursday, June 26, the Ukrainian Culture Ministry said that the Dutch Foreign Ministry had allegedly confirmed its recognition that all the exhibits of the Crimea: Golden Island in the Black Sea exhibition were the state property of Ukraine.
