MOSCOW, May 26. /ITAR-TASS/. People in Moscow will pay last respects Monday to People's Actor of the RSFSR Nikolai Pastukhov who died on May 23 at the age of 91. Civil funeral rites are to be performed at the Central Academic Theatre of the Russian Army (CATRA) where Nikolai Pastukhov served for more than 70 years.
"The funeral rites are to commence at the Theatre at 11:00. Nikolai Pastukhov will be buried at the St Nicholas Archangel Cemetery," a CATRA official said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegramme of condolence to widow Alla Pastukhov. The message pointed out, "No more is Nikolai Isaakovich Pastukhov, a frontline soldier, one of the oldest actors of CATRA, a person of vibrant life and distinctive talent. He was always true to his vocation, to the high calling of the actor and, therefore, he rightfully enjoyed the love of the viewing public. He is no more with us. He passed away but the lucid memory of Nikolai Issakovich has remained with us, just as his rich creative heritage and the works of the real Master of the stage and cinema".
