NEW YORK, May 13. /ITAR-TASS/. Harvard students planning a “satanic black mass” canceled the event after protests from the Catholic Church, students and faculty leaders.

The event was organized by the Harvard Extension Cultural Studies Club. The New York-based Satanic Temple assisted in planning the mass. The event was planned to be held in a bar on the university’s territory. On Monday, the bar declined to continue negotiations with the organizers. The club was unable to find another location to hold the mass.

The news about the planned satanic mass in Harvard surfaced last week. Officials at the Archdiocese of Boston were furious, and spokesman for the archdiocese Terry Donilon said the mass is offensive to the feelings of religious people.
