Russian railways company RZD denies its website has been hacked

MOSCOW, May 08. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s railways company RZD has denied media reports its official website came under attacks on April 7 through 14 and that hackers received access to its electronic data bases.

The RZD press-service said that “there was no risk of leaks of personal data concerning clients’ payment cards, because the RZD website does not request or store such information.”

“To buy tickets users enter the payment gateway via a protected connection,” the RZD press-service said.

The company recalled that the VTB Group was responsible for the operation of the RZD website’s payment page.
