MOSCOW, March 19. /ITAR-TASS/. The number of Russian tourists spending holidays in Turkey will grow to 4.5 million, says Ozgur Ozaslan, Turkish Deputy Minister of Tourism.

“We hope that by the end of 2014 the number of Russian tourists at Turkey’s resorts will grow by 4%,” he told reporters on the sidelines of Moscow International Exhibition Travel&Tourism on Wednesday. “We hope their number will grow from 4.2 million to 4.5 million this year.”

“Today Russia is the second most important market for Turkey. The tourist flow from Russia to Turkey grows from year to year,” Ozaslan said.

“Last year, 8 million Turkish citizens went abroad, 380,000 of them  visited Russia,” the deputy minister said. “This figure is not so high, but it increased by 20% as against 2012. We hope that in the future the number of Turkish tourists in Russia will grow to one million."
