MOSCOW, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Fabio Capello will supervise the institute of Russian national football teams, President of the Russian Football Union Nikolai Tolstykh said on Friday in comments on the signing of a new contract with the Italian coach until the end of the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
Capello was named head coach of the Russian national football team in July 2012, replacing Dick Advocaat at the post. With the Italian manager at the helm of the national team Russia had qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 2014 for the first time in the last 12 years, taking the first place in Group F.
