SOCHI, January 14./ITAR-TASS/. Special bus routes for participants and guests of the Olympic Games have been opened in Sochi on Tuesday.

Groups of guests and participants accredited at the Games and the spectators will be offered a bus service with departure sites located near the Olympic facilities where the guests are accommodated, a source from the Transport Board of the Sochi 2014 Olympics told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

Every bus service has its own designation symbol: TA - for sportsmen and representatives of sports teams; DDS - for representatives of the Olympic Broadcasting company; TM - for representatives of the mass media; TF - for representatives of International Federations and technical officials, MP - for marketing partners, OF- for technical authorities; TP- for spectators.

The buses have been running from the railway terminals in Sochi and Adler to the Primorskaya and Olympic villages, connecting sports facilities and hotels.

The transportation system created for fans and visitors has made it convenient for them to change from one kind of transport to another and quickly reach the Olympic facilities. This system is available for technical personnel as well. The people who have bought tickets to sports events may reach the Olympic facilities by public transport, the source said.

The el-train service called "Lastochka"(swallow bird) will operate every 10-15 minutes to bring passengers to sites of the Olympic competitions, it said.
