SOCHI, January 05, 17:20 /ITAR-TASS/. Sochi authorities are to introduce restrictions on traffic inside the city starting from January 7.
Non-residents' vehicles will be permitted into the resort city only upon presenting a special accreditation card while the others will leave their cars at interceptive car parks on the approaches to the city, the Krasnodar Territory's department for federal motor roads /Uprdor 'Kuban'/ told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
The restrictions will be in place from the 80th kilometre of the public motor road A-147 Dzhubga to Sochi in the north and to the border with Abkhazia in the south, they said.
The regional department for federal motor roads calls on the drivers who are planning to visit Sochi to take alternative means of transport - trains or airliners.
