Putin skis down a slope in Olympic Sochi’s Krasnaya Polyana

KRASNAYA POLYANA, January 03, 14:45 /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is currently in Sochi to insect Olympic facilities, has skied several times down a mountain at the Laura ski resort, situated at an altitude of 1,435 meters on the crests and slopes of Psekhako Ridge, in Krasnaya Polyana.

The president has skied there more than once, and knows the slopes very well, finding skiing there not too difficult.

The piste he skied on Friday is not among the Olympic facilities. However, the Olympic Ski Cross Country Ski and Biathlon Centre adjoins it. Also on Friday, Putin is expected to examine some other mountain facilities.
