House of Russian national Olympic team opens in Moscow

The House is open to visitors on Saturday and Sunday

MOSCOW, November 16, (ITAR-TASS) - The House of the Russian national Olympic team was opened on Saturday in Manezhnaya Square in the heart of Moscow.

“We would like as many as possible people throughout the country learn about the national team,” head of the Russian Olympic Committee Aleksandr Zhukov said. “This was the reason to organise the House.”

The House will be opened for visitors on Saturday and Sunday.

It is a project of Russia’s Olympic Committee. The House offers a unique exposition, which tells about winter sports on the programme of the XXII Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014 and about the athletes, who will represent Russia.

In every city, where the House is organised, visitors participate in meetings with well-known Olympic athletes, take part in competitions and quizzes on the Games and athletes.

The House was displayed in St. Petersburg, Tver, Kazan, Murmansk, Yaroslavl, Petrozavodsk, and Khanty-Mansiisk. The following cities on the route will be Syktyvkar and Petrozavodsk.
