Kremlin stage of Olympic Torch Relay ends in Moscow

The Olympic Torch Relay’s first stage in Russia will be held from October 6 to October 9

MOSCOW, October 6 (Itar-Tass) - Kremlin’s stage of the Olympic Torch Relay, which precedes the official start of the Olympic flame to Sochi, has been ended in Moscow.

The Olympic Torch Relay comprises nine stages and has been ended at the Alexander Garden by Hero of Russia, Air Force Major Ivan Nechaev.

The Olympic Torch Relay’s first stage in Russia will be held from October 6 to October 9. On Sunday, the Torch Relay will go through the Moscow Kremlin. Five-time Olympic champion Anastasia Davydova will open the Olympic Torch Relay.

The Olympic Torch Relay will pass through 83 Russian regions, be taken into orbit and plunge to the bottom of Lake Baikal. The Olympic Torch Relay will be ended in Sochi on February 7 where the Olympic Games are launched.
