SERGIYEV POSAD, July 29 (Itar-Tass) - A conference devoted to St Sergius of Radonezh will be held in Paris next year, according to speaker of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin.
“Next year under the patronage of the Russian Historical Society we’re planning to hold a conference devoted to St Sergius of Radonezh,” Naryshkin said when visiting the Holy Trinity Lavra within the festivities marking the Baptism of Rus 1025th anniversary.
Within the celebrations devoted to the 700th anniversary of the birth of Venerable Father Sergius of Radonezh there will be erected monuments in four CIS countries - Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, according to Naryshkin.
