BARCELONA, July 28 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian team came third in a 4x100-meter freestyle relay at the 15th FINA World Championships in Barcelona.

The team of Andrei Grechin, Nikita Lobintsev, Vladimir Morozov and Danila Izotov won bronze (3:11:44).

“We consider this result a defeat,” Andrei Grechin told Itar-Tass on Sunday. “If we had managed to show the time we had at the Universiade - 3:10:88, we would win gold.”

At the relay’s first stage the team came third, then Lobintsev speeded up, while Morozov and Izotov took efforts to make their team come first. However, Danila Izotov failed to sustain the speed in the last 50 meters.
