KAZAN, July 10 (Itar-Tass) - Anisya Kirdyapkina of Russia won the gold medal in the women's 20 km race walk at the Univesiade.

Kirdyapkina set a new record for University Games - one hour, 29 minutes and 30 seconds, beating the previous record set by Russian Olga Mikhailova.

The second and the third were also Russians Irina Yumanova (1:30.41) and Lina Bikulova (1:32.30). Vera Sokolova, Russia, was disqualified because of a violation of the rules.
