DAMASCUS, October 18 (Itar-Tass) - Prominent top officer of the command of the Syrian military intelligence Major General Jamaa Jamaa was killed in the clash with the opposition forces in eastern Syria, the Syrian Arab news agency SANA reported on Thursday.

“Major General Jeimi ‘Jeimi’ was killed performing the duty for the protection of Syria, country’s people in the struggle against terrorists,” SANA noted. The battle with militants was waged in the eastern province Deir Ezzor, SANA reported.
