GENEVA, October 15 (Itar-Tass) - Iran has put forth to the Sextet of international mediators (five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and Germany) absolutely new proposals to resolve the situation over the country’s nuclear program, a source in the Iranian delegation told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
“These are absolutely new proposals and a new plan,” he said.
“These proposals should not be linked with what had happened at the previous rounds of talks,” the diplomatic source added.
Iran and the Sextet of international mediators began a round of talks in Geneva on Tuesday. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov heads the Russian delegation.
