MOSCOW, October 2 (Itar-Tass) - President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer will visit Moscow on October 7-8 to discuss the situation in the Middle East, sources in the ICRC Moscow office told Itar-Tass.
This will be Maurer’s first visit when he took office on July 1, 2012.
The meeting will focus “on interaction between Russia and the ICRC on the international arena due to the situation in the Middle East, as well as cooperation in Russia itself”, the sources said.
