BEIRUT, October 1. (ITAR-TASS). Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will carry out its duties until the next presidential election in 2014 and has the right to run for this post again. This was announced today at a press conference in Damascus by Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi.

"The people of Syria wants to see Bashar al-Assad as president despite what the opposition, the US and traitors say,” the minister said. “Syria remains united: the state, the nation and the president." Al-Zoubi assured that the president would run again in the presidential election and take the “right decision”.
