Iran and mediators scheduled for next round of talks

MOSCOW, October 1 (Itar-Tass) - The sextet of international mediators and Iran will hold a next full-format round of talks in Geneva on October 15-16, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday.

“The foreign ministers of the sextet of international mediators (Russia, Great Britain, China, the United States, France and Germany), EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif agreed at a meeting on sidelines of the 68th session of the U.N. General Assembly in New York on September 26 to hold a next full-format round of talks between the sextet of international mediators and Iran in Geneva on October 15-16,” the Russian ministry reported. “Mohammad Javad Zarif will head the Iranian delegation. The sextet will be remain in the previous format at the level of Catherine Ashton and the political directors of the foreign political agencies,” the ministry stated.
