MOSCOW, September 22 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and the Syrian authorities are taking additional steps to ensure security of the Russian embassy in Damascus, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry told Itar-Tass Sunday.

“Sunday morning, a mortar shell fell on the territory of the Russian embassy in Damascus during the shelling of the Mezze district by militants,” he said. “Three members of the embassy’s staff received wounds not threatening their lives.”
