MOSCOW, September 11 (Itar-Tass) - An inter-faction working group can be created at the State Duma, lower house of Russia’s parliament, State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee deputy chairman Aleksander Romanovich of (A Just Russia party) said.

The lawmaker’s initiative has been supported by the committee’s chairman, Aleksei Pushkov.

“A proposal has been put forth to form a working group, which involves deputies of different factions. The group would watch the situation in Syria and collect information during the talks between different participants in the process,” Romanovich said.

“Maybe, it would be expedient to hold parliamentary debates on Syria shortly,” the lawmaker said.

For this part, Pushkov said, “The proposal put forth by our colleague Romanovich seems to me justified.” “I believe that we’ll discuss this issue at today’s session,” he added.
