BRUSSELS, September 6 (Itar-Tass) - The EU countries, which take part in G20 summit in Stю Petersburg, failed to reach understanding on Syria, RTL TVI reported on Friday.

Only France is ready to take part in the US military intervention, the television channel said.

The leaders of Germany, Britain, France, Italy and the EU institutions said they were prepared to provide humanitarian support to the Syrian people by expanding assistance programmes to refugees, whose number exceeded six million people.

Germany and Italy flatly shut out a possibility of taking part in any military operations against Syria. Britain will exert political support to the United States after its military plans failed in the parliament.
