LONDON, August 17 (Itar-Tass) - The Al-Qaeda terrorist network leader’s brother, Mohammed al-Zawahri, has been arrested in Egypt, British mass media reported on Saturday, August 17.

Mohammed is one of the leaders of the ultraconservative Jihadi Salafist group. He was detained at one of the roadblocks in Giza.

Before July 3, when Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi was deposed, al-Zawahri’s radical group had acted openly on the side of the Islamist government, experts said.

Mohammed al-Zawahi had used to be a rebel field commander in Sinai.
