MOSCOW, July 31 (Itar-Tass) - Crisis in Syria has been instigated from the outside, the Iranian Ambassador to Russia, Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi said Wednesday.

“It’s important to ask the U.S. and the EU why they defend terrorists who commit crimes against civilians,” he said somewhat rhetorically. “If you ask Muslims around the world about the murders or raping of peaceful rank-and-file people, they’ll give a correct assessment of these things.”

“It’s not Muslims who are committing these abominable crimes,” Sajjadi said. “The terrorists reveling in the money provided by Israel and Western countries have gotten out of control.”
