MOSCOW, July 24 (Itar-Tass) - The U.S. support for the opposition in Syria and the attacks on the government run counter the idea of convening the Geneva-2 conference, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
“If our partners lay emphasis on arms supplies to the Syrian opposition and their plans to deliver strikes on the Syrian government’s positions, of course, it runs counter the agreements on the convocation of the international conference without any precondition,” the Russian minister stressed.
