MOSCOW, June 28 (Itar-Tass) - Russia plays a positive role in the Sahara-Sahel settlement, Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad-Eddine Al-Othmani on Friday.

“I would like to emphasize Russia’s positive role in ensuring security in the Sahel and Sahara region,” he said. “Thanks to the position of Russia and its role in the UN Security Council and the world, we managed to ensure stability, even if it is relative, in the region.”

“I think that it is a rather important factor in order to ensure settlement and further political process in Mali,” he said.
