MOSCOW, June 25 (Itar-Tass) - Planes of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations have airlifted humanitarian aid to Syria and will take on board on the flight back Russians willing to leave that country, EMERCOM spokeswoman Irina Rossius said.
“Two EMERCOM planes, an Il-76 and an Il-62, delivered in Latakia early today 24 tons of humanitarian aid - canned meat, sugar and three electricity generating stations,” she said.
Rossius specified that citizens of Russia and CIS countries who have expressed their wish can leave Syria on board the Il-62. “It is expected that they will arrive in Domodedovo at about 22.00,” she added.
