BEIJING, June 17 (Itar-Tass) - China hopes that it continues further development of mutually advantageous cooperation with Iran after Hassan Rouhani won the presidential elections, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Monday.
“China congratulates Hassan Rouhani on the victory in the presidential elections. We call for continuing the development of mutually advantageous cooperation between the two countries,” the spokesperson said.
“China rivets much attention to the development of relations with Iran,” the diplomat stressed.
Rouhani, who is the leading reformist, was elected Iran’s president on Friday, June 14.
