MOSCOW, June 16 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s President Vladimir Putin congratulated Hassan Rohani with the victory at the presidential election in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Kremlin’s press service said on Sunday.

In the telegram, Putin expressed confidence “Rohani’s activities will favour Iran’s prosperity and further development of the Russia-Iran relations.”

“The Russian president also confirmed readiness for ongoing development of mutually advantageous cooperation with Iran in various spheres in the interests of regional security and international stability,” the press service said.
