Russia sends 41 t of aid cargoes to Egypt

MOSCOW, December 21 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Emergencies Ministry has sent humanitarian aid cargoes to Egypt, the ministry' information department told Itar-Tass.

An EMERCOM Il-76 flew out form Ramenskoye airport, near Moscow, for the city of El-Arish at 10:00 Moscow time on Friday. There are 41 tonnes -- tents, blankets and canned food -- aboard the plane, a ministry source said.

The aid is provided on the instructions of the Russian president and the government.
