MOSCOW, December 13 (Itar-Tass) — Russia hopes to hold another meeting of Action Groups for Syria, RF Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
“We have told our Western and Arab partners that it is necessary to build the further work on the Geneva Communiqu·,” said Bogdanov. “It is necessary to support the mission of the UN and Arab League Joint Special Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi.”
“In our view, the format of the Action Group should have been used as well,” said the diplomat. “It held its first, but hopefully not the last meeting in Geneva on June 30 this year."
