MOSCOW, September 29 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin warns Western partners of Russia against recurrence of the mistakes made in Libya.
There is absolutely unjustified and arbitrary use of force in the world at present, the official said on Saturday, when speaking at the congress of the Voluntary Special-Purpose Movement in Support of the Army and the Navy. The association holds its founding congress this Saturday.
"Political regimes accused of dictatorship are overthrown. They are replaced by extremist forces that then turn their back and sometimes turn their gun barrels against those who supported them," he noted, adding that such was the case in Libya when American ambassador Christopher Stevens was killed by those whom Americans themselves supported there.
In the international affairs, chaos reigns, and the foundations, which retained peace and security on the planet in the post-war time, are thrown down, he said.
Rogozin urged the world community to resist the temptation to "ride the vigorous and crazy horse" to realize last minute's own interests.
Meanwhile, according to reports from Washington, the American intelligence service has revised the initial assessment of the events in Benghazi and came to the conclusion that the attack against the U.S. diplomatic representative office, in which Stevens and three other people who worked there were killed, was deliberate and organized. The spokesman for the Director of National Intelligence, Shawn Turner, made the corresponding statement.
Earlier, the U.S. authorities said the protests at the Consulate in Benghazi started spontaneously following the mass demonstrations in Cairo after the U.S. film "Innocence of Muslims" came out. American officials repeatedly stated that Washington had no proof that the attack in Benghazi had been planned.
