MOSCOW, July 28 (Itar-Tass) — Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov named rumours saying Russia would be ready to grant political asylum to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as "gossip".
"There are no agreement to this effect and no ideas on this issue," Lavrov told journalists on Saturday.
