MOSCOW, June 7 (Itar-Tass) —— The tragedy in Hama has a close hand to the massacre in Al Houla and is targeted at foiling Kofi Annan’s peace plan, spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said on Thursday.
“According to media reports, a new bloody massacre of civilians was committed. This is the second crime with a close hand to the massacre in the village Al Houla. The Syrian government stated that the troops attacked a base of terrorists,” Lukashevich said.
The statement of the Syrian National Council contains another interpretation and shouldered guilt for the massacre on the Syrian army.
“We are discussing these cruel acts of violence. Their perpetrators should be brought to justice and punished,” he noted. Russia offers condolences to the relatives of the terror victims.
“It is doubtless that some forces resort to awful provocative acts to disrupt Kofi Annan’s peace plan, the consolidation of efforts in support for Annan’s plan should be a response to them,” he underlined.
