MOSCOW, November 15 (Itar-Tass) —— The Syrian National Council will never have talks with Bashar Assad, the head of the Syrian National Council, Burhan Ghalioun, said after the talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday.
“We, better to say, the Syrian people, do not want any talks with those who have their hands soiled with blood,” he said. “We have announced this position of ours to our Russian friends.”
According to Ghalioun, the delegation of the Syrian opposition had asked Moscow to exert pressure on Bashar Assad.
“We are not ready to conduct talks with Bashar Assad and members of his family,” stressed Ghalioun, who heads the delegation.
