MOSCOW, November 6 (Itar-Tass) - The Moscow transport police have detained four people on motorboats near the Southern port on Wednesday. They are suspected of participation in an unauthorised Greenpeace action on Moskva River, the transport police department in the Central Federal District in Moscow told Itar-Tass.

“The police have detained four young people on Moskva River near the Southern port, they were brought to the alert unit of the water transport police department in the Central Federal District in Moscow for identification,” the transport police said. The offenders are about to be brought to administrative responsibility, the press service said.

Neither the symbols of organization, nor the flags, nor propagandistic materials were found neither in the boats nor on young people, the press service reported. There is no evidence that these people are exactly participants of the Greenpeace action.

For its part, the Greenpeace press service did not confirm, but also did not dismiss the fact of detention of its activists.

“Three activists of the organization, a photographer and a video operator were participating in the action. We cannot get in touch with three participants in the action and are unaware where they are staying, a photographer and a video operator were not detained for sure yet, as they had got down on the bank before,” Greenpeace spokeswoman Khalimat Tekeyeva told Itar-Tass.
