AFP sources: Six people killed in shooting in Munich

There were at least three gunmen

BERLIN, July 22. /TASS/. Six people have been killed in shooting in Munich, says AFP quoting police sources.

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry of Germany's Federal State of Bavaria has refuted the reports claiming that three people died as a result of the shooting in Munich's Olympia Shopping Center.

"The reports quoting us stand at variance with reality," it said. "We didn't release any such data."

At least three gunmen

There were at least three gunmen who opened fire in Munich, Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said on Friday.

He said all of them had fled the scene.

According to Herrmann, a number of people were either killed or wounded in the incident.

According to earlier reports, shooting was heard from a shopping center in Munich. The police don’t rule out there could be casualties. "Witnesses said a man opened indiscriminate gunfire around himself. There are casualties, probably some were killed," a police source told TASS.

"We don't understand so far fully what's happened," a police official said.
