Paris will host UN climate change conference despite terror attacks — president

A chain of terrorist attacks in Paris overnight to November 14 claimed the lives of at least 132 people

PARIS, November 16./TASS/. French President Francois Hollande confirmed on Monday that the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 21, due in Paris, will not be cancelled because of the recent terrorist attacks and will be held as scheduled.

A chain of terrorist attacks in Paris overnight to November 14 claimed the lives of at least 132 people. Another 350 people were injured in the attacks.

Hostages were taken at the Bataclan concert hall where 1,500 people gathered for a rock concert and almost simultaneously three suicide bombers blew themselves up next to the Stade de France stadium where a football match between French and German national teams was in the full swing. Besides, terrorists opened fire at people in popular nightlife spots - cafes, bars and restaurants crowded at that time.
