USS Jason Dunham destroyer to enter Black Sea on April 3

The ship’s presence in the Black Sea demonstrates the United States’ commitment to working closely with allies to enhance maritime security and stability, readiness, and naval capability

WASHINGTON, April 2. /TASS/. The guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham will enter the Black Sea on April 3, 2015, the US 6th Fleet said in a statement on Thursday.

"The ship’s presence in the Black Sea demonstrates the United States’ commitment to working closely with allies to enhance maritime security and stability, readiness, and naval capability; and our commitment to promote peace and stability to our NATO allies in the region," the statement said.

The destroyer will enter Black Sea in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, the Fleet said.
