MOSCOW, March 25./TASS/. Monitors from Russia, Ukraine and European security agency OSCE will monitor troubled East Ukraine's ceasefire from a series of Donetsk region observation posts, the Russian side told reporters on Wednesday.

The first location, deployed a week ago close to destroyed flashpoint Donetsk airport, will be joined by posts at the settlement of Shirokino, said Russian representative at the Joint Center on Control and Coordination Colonel General Alexander Lentsov, quoted by the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic's Donetsk News Agency.

Similar sites would be set up outside the Donetsk region village of Avdeyevka, said the report, noting Shirokino free from shelling early on Wednesday.

Marathon talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Francois Hollande, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Minsk, Belarus, on February 12 yielded a package of agreements, notably looking to a ceasefire between the conflicting Ukrainian sides from midnight on February 15.
