KIEV, March 23. /TASS/. High-ranking officials from the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration support gangs, head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Valentin Nalivaichenko said on Monday.

"On the president’s instruction the prosecutor general has decided to consolidate all the investigated crimes — the murder of an SBU captain, kidnappings and also weapons founds as a result of searches. This has been done by one gang, which gets support, and we reasonably suspect that it also gets funding, from senior officials of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration," he told a briefing.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk region is Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who, according to 2013 data, is ranked second among Ukraine’s richest persons.
