OSCE observers gain access to Debaltsevo

KIEV, February 21. /TASS/. Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has visited the key town of Debaltsevo and a detailed report is being readied upon the results of the visit, OSCE SMM spokesman Michael Bociurkiw said on Saturday.

"Today we have gained access to Debaltsevo," Bociurkiw told Ukraine's 112 television. "We received security guarantees from the militia, which offered us the chance to have presence there."

He said the SMM had no access to all the areas so as to fulfil their monitoring mission according to the mandate.

"I would like to say that SMM continues urging adherence to the ceasefire across the entire territory and allow SMM access to all territories, because we do not yet have access to all areas," Bociurkiw said adding a detailed report would appear in the near future.
